This route will take you alongside all the hidden gems within the southern part of Sweden. This area offers some unique bucket list experiences for adventurers, but also for travellers that love tranquility and space! Vast nature, freedom and the heart-warming hospitality of the local inhabitants make this route an experience you will not forget!

Overview

Climb the hillsides, go on intensive hikes or go into the forests. This route features forest highlands, gigantic woods and massive plains. But this is not all this region has to offer, on the East-coast of this part of Sweden lies a stunning coastline including an archipelago with thousands of small islands. During your trip to this part of Sweden you will alter mystical lakes with dense forest continuously. In the province of Småland you will find over 5000 lakes that gives you the possibility to take a swim, go fishing, go canoeing or camp on the shore. Not to bad for a piece of Sweden which translates to ‘small country’. The entire southern part of Sweden is littered with beautiful campsites with direct access to one of the lakes. Next to the campsite you will have the opportunity to try out camping in the wild by using one of many wildcampingspots for free, created by the government. These well-maintained places include at most times clean bathroom facilities, a fire pit and a wooden shed which is packed with dry logs to put into the fire! In short, what else do you need for the ultimate 'Life In The Open' experience?!
