This campsite has spacious sites with a stunning view over the surrounding farmland, enjoy the sound of the birds, the beautiful sunset or a stunning night sky in all serenity. There is a large variety of sites available at the campsite, some sites are covered with shade and others have a stunning view on the rising or setting sun. Serenity and nature is what makes this campsite ideal for a relaxing stay. Wake up with some freshly baked bread and eggs from the chickens that are present at the campsite. To finish the day you can bake your own pizzas , make a campfire or get a wood stove at your tent to enjoy the gorgeous setting sun with a delightful fire.
In 2015 we, Sander and Eveline Braam, took over de Rietkraag. For years it was our wish to live and work in a natural environment where you can leave behind the hectic of the day. Various species of birds of prey fly here together with gliders. Sometimes you see a stork, a cormorant or a kingfisher looking for a nice bite. Besides beautiful spacious camping pitches and a very well maintained toilet block we also offer a lot of extras to our guests. For example, the Rustpunt can be used for a cup of coffee or an ice cream. There could be cooked in the Beste Kamer or guests can bake a pizza in the wood-fired pizza oven. De Rietkraag is situated at the canal from Overijssel, which makes swimming and fishing possible. There are also canoes situated over here. In the evening you can enjoy a drink inside or outside near a woodfire. Enjoy our hospitality and come to the Rietkraag to camp comfortable in the nature!
The surroundings of the campsite has a lot of different activities to offer. From one of the hiking or cycling routes to sky-gliding over the area. There are several cycling routes through the beautiful nature in the surrounding area of the campsite or visit one of the numerous cities and villages close to the campsite. Enjoy the ever-changing views you will experience during your stay at this campsite.
